As the Assistant Corporate Counsel / Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing our clients general legal and company secretariat functions. Providing general legal advice throughout the business, you will assist in project managing deals to conclusion, drafting contracts and negotiating document contracts. You will also lead initiatives to enhance existing standard UK and European contract forms, and develop new contract forms and processes as needed.
Reporting to the Insurance Manager you will provide day to day support to business unit managers in order to deliver a first class insurance function. This will entail managing the vetting and negotiation of insurance and liability clauses in procurement contracts. You will also oversee the insurance aspects of business asset protection agreements to ensure the maximum possible protection for Thames Water.
