The SAM Strategy and Portfolio manager is a key role in developing and deepening SAMs longer and medium term strategy. There are essentially two inter-connected parts of the business dealing with the midstream and retail (B2B or B2C) activities which are present in all 4 geographies - UK, France, Turkey and China.

The Portfolio Manager will be part of a small team focused on generating absolute return in the EMEA local markets as part of our EMEA Team for the EMEA Fund and the Emerging Markets Fund (EMF).
You will be responsible for producing new business as well as maintaining and developing business with existing clients. You will use your knowledge of financial products to advise and form a strategy for each individual client and also monitor your portfolio in order to establish and highlight where switches can be made to client's agreed model in order to benefit them.
The successful candidate will have been engaged in client-side delivery management and consulting roles for various aspects of the business lifecycle, ideally including strategy development, investment appraisal, portfolio definition, business portfolio management, procurement and management of the supply chain, review and management of programmes or portfolios of projects.
As the relationships are already in place, the emphasis is on "retention & growth" as opposed to recruiting new business.
