Being smart doesn't mean you will become successful in your life, career or job search. It seems to be paradoxal, but smart jobseekers have more difficulties to land a job than all the others. Why?


In his LinkedIn post, Maurice Ewing suggests that cognitive biases are the first enemy of smart people. He outlines a list of reasons for which smart people can't get hired for a long time, such as a poor ability of letting the future employer imagine them in the role, communicate on their strengths and prove their value.


In short, smart people have a strong idea of themselves, of what they are suitable or unsuitable for, which usually stands as a hurdle to their professional progress...
