To provide quality pre-sales technical support to the Level3 sales organization. Responsible for selling services and retaining revenue by providing technical customer support to new and assigned accounts. The Sales Engineer interacts with customers to execute the technical aspects of the sales strategy by developing appropriate solutions and building technical relationships.
In this role you will act as task manager on a range of stakeholder communications and engagement projects, including those associated with large scale planning-led development projects, sustainability issues management and corporate responsibility programmes.

You will be creating strategic enterprise architectures whilst driving future solutions architecture in the Business Intelligence area. Your role will consist of management of BI strategy, roadmaps, governance and investigation conform to group technology and architecture principles.
It is essentially that you come with not only extensive Solaris administration skills, but also working knowledge of clustering systems, either Sun or Veritas Clustering. You would be responsible for capacity, escalation, security, performance and configuration management through L2 support of the companies Sun Solaris system.

The role will involve remote host work from Basingstoke and this is where you will be based so you MUST commute here. Home based work is an option but you need to be able to go to the office as well.
My client is seeking a Solaris Engineer to provide seccond line support for the organisations estate of Solaris servers. The successful candidate for this position will come from background working with Sun Solaris within a support capacity.
