You will ideally have experience leading and managing a small team of electrical engineers and experience in generation and control systems and instrumentation would be an advantage. Experience of working with National Grid is preferred.
You will be an Electrical Development Engineer ideally with electrical machines or transformer experience, although not essential as training will be given. Essential to the role is the ability to devise test procedures, execute & report on prototype & qualification testing of electrical equipment. Communication skills are also vital as the role will involve working on various projects simultaneously, including co-ordinating with other project team members, liaising with manufacturing & design departments, as well as evaluating results and providing feedback.
