A Chief Mechanical Equipment Engineer is required for our Jacobs Engineering, UK South Process Operations, to manage the Mechanical Equipment Group. This position is key to the Engineering organisation and is one of three chief engineer positions reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the others are Fabricated Equipment and Building Services.
To review Statement of Requirements for selected projects taking into consideration Jacobs policies on DHSE and secure its approval from the Client team. To coordinate DHSE protection for the design and engineering phases of projects. To ensure close co-ordination with End-Users throughout the execution of projects up to the stage of Final Acceptance.

You will sell the companies full stack of Electrical Engineering software alongside services,installation and training. The role will be 100% new business. First year targets will be between 250k-300k and 500k for year 2.
1. Reporting to the Engineering and QA Director, covering all aspects of Engineering activity across the UK sites. 2. Line management of Engineering staff at Harlow 3. Act as the point of focus and leadership, across all programmes, for all engineering matters at Harlow ensuring that engineering efforts are co-ordinated to provide optimum value for the business.
The position forms part of the Senior Management Team and will report directly to the Site General Manager. You will have total control of all aspects of the engineering function.
Work closely with Business Project Managers to successfully deliver the engineering elements of new projects, defined in terms of time, cost and specification including fulfilment of any CDM and NEBOSH.
*Strategic day to day management of the engineering function which will include Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) *Continuous improvement / Capital Investment Projects *Handling the engineering budget *Developing the engineering team *Direct reports will be from the senior engineer on each site.
