My client an exciting growing company based in Redhill Surrey is seeking a Development Manager with strong Embedded C++ development skills/experience. This is a great opportunity to join a technology driven company performing a key strategic role on exciting projects.
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience: Degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related subject A proven track record of leading team and projects with a C++ embedded systems environment.
They are looking for individuals in a senior managerial position coming from an embedded C++, win32, multithreading and Linux background. Although this is not a fully hands on role, previous experience of working with STL, configuration management tools such as SourceSafe and ClearSafe, as well as TCP/IP are highly desirable.
The jobholder is accountable to the Head of Risk and Compliance who in turn is personally accountable to the Executive, Audit Committee and FSA for the development and management of an effective risk management framework and associated processes in esure.
This role will be the interface between TU and the outsourcer and any third party suppliers, understanding the contractual obligations by both parties. Managing the relationships to ensure that the highest of service is given to TU and it continues to meet the requirements.
The job holder will be able to organise, coordinate, structure and execute projects through a range of people and resources outside of their direct control or immediate influence. A key component of this role is to be proactive, effective and collaborative when communicating with a range of business and technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate for this position will come from a strong SQL background and will have experience working as a SQL server DBA. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of Third Party reporting tools and will ideally have had some involvement in capacity planning.
