To effectively manage and co-ordinate the workload and output of the geotechnical team To provide geotechnical assistance for delivery of schemes for National Grid. Day-to-day resource management of the geotechnical team to ensure timeous delivery of effective design solutions.
·Read and interpret geological maps and aerial photographs to advice on selection of track alignments. ·Collating geotechnical data and producing reports. ·Planning field investigations by drilling or excavation and analyzing samples of deposits/bedrock. ·Identify deposits of construction materials, and assess the materials characteristics and suitability for use of track ballast and subgrade material.
