The Mechanical Engineer role forms part of a multi-disciplined team which is accountable for selecting, developing and implementing medium to long term improvement strategies to drive improvements in plant availability, legislative and integrity compliance, production creep as well as developing product cost reduction proposals.
The candidate must be able to deliver to the agreed technical standards and to provide a high level technical/design engineering service. Ideally the candidate will be familiar with Low Carbon Technologies, BREEAM assessments and be registered or willing to undertake registration as an Accredited Energy Performance Assessor /Low carbon consultant

The responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer are as follows:*Concept design and detailing components *Design for manufacture*Liaise with manufacturing to ensure feasibility of the design*Work on Multiple projects simultaneously*Research and.
You'll be responsible for producing concept designs for bespoke hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical applications for a number for different industries. You'll liaise with different departments in the engineering hierarchy from shop floor through to production team and manage yourself, therefore keeping to deadlines, working within cost, quality and delivery constraints.
You'll be responsible for producing concepts for scheme designs, detail designs and manufacturing drawings for handling equipment. You'll work within a multi-disciplinary design team, liaising with all members of different departments.
