As a Principal Design Engineer you will have hands on delivery of technical challenges provided by a wide range of signalling related projects, and undertake or independently check complex detailed signalling design work.
Establishment of and review / update of internal design standards and / or processes to achieve a continuous improvement in quality and efficiency. Contribution to long-term technical development of the office by application of new techniques, procedures and practices.
To undertake complex signalling design and checking work in accordance with applicable specifications and standards.
Lead and direct allocated design resources in the delivery of conceptual and detailed electrical design. Undertake the production of preliminary and detailed designs and associated plans/drawings/documentation. Planning and organising activities and resources to meet programme deadlines.
The Rotating Engineer role forms part of a multi-disciplined team accountable for selecting, developing and implementing medium to long term improvement strategies for plant availability, legislative and integrity compliance, production creep and product cost reduction proposals.
