Security officer job description

A Security Officer is a professional responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. This role involves the prevention of theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Key duties include inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry, and investigating and reporting irregularities. Security Officers must be vigilant, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Experience in surveillance systems and a knowledge of public safety is essential.
