They are currently looking a SQL Server DBA who has had experience of Database Architecture to take ownership of all data assets. You will be ensuring the performance, design and scalability of the database platforms including client integration. You will have a strong relationship with the software architects to ensure the databases are designed for optimal performance and scalability.

* Experience in Server performance management, enhancements and capacity planning. * Demonstrable in-depth SQL DBA experience Essential * SQL server 2008 and 2005 in an enterprise environment. * SQL server running on a Microsoft cluster.
The successful candidate will be a SQL Server DBA expert and will be happy to perform the role of a Production DBA as well as an Architect, 70% DBA, 30% Architect.
Sybase DBA - Banking Experienced Sybase DBA required for immediate start at a large City bank. The successful Sybase DBA will be joining a highly skilled engineering team to assist with the planning, design, implementation, support and maintenance of their Sybase Dataservers globally.
It will entail developing, managing and testing regular maintenance schedules including backups, re-indexing etc; assisting and advising developers through the development lifecycle; ensuring correct configuration and release procedures are followed; producing documentation of standards, procedures and definition; supporting and developing feeds from related systems.
The role will involve, * Assisting with the migration of the daily P&L onto a new strategic platform. * Producing the daily & monthly P&L commentary, including analysis of market moves, understanding of existing risk positions & new trade P&L.
