Reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager the Principal Project Engineer (PPE) will oversee the project engineering on all projects within an office. The PPE provides project engineering team leadership to ensure projects are to the required quality and safety standards and to project timescales. The PPE allocates work packages to the Work Package Managers who will be responsible for delivery.
The principal function of this position is to be accountable for leading a portfolio of projects as a senior project manager within the Flood, Coastal and Environmental Management sector in the north of England, delivering to time, cost and quality expectations and taking an active role leading projects considered to be of critical regional/strategic importance.

In order to be considered, candidates will need to have demonstrable planning experience using P6 software, this experience will have ideally come within the rail sector. Multi disciplined rail experience will be strongly preferred, i.

The principal function of this position is to be accountable for leading a portfolio of projects as a senior project manager within the Flood, Coastal and Environmental Management sector in the north of England, delivering to time, cost and quality expectations and taking an active role leading projects considered to be of critical regional/strategic importance.
As part of this role, the successful candidate will undertake assignments covering the delivery of high voltage (up to 400kV) substations and the design/condition assessment of existing substations.
The successful applicant will ideally have good Data project management exposure. Candidates who have worked as Project Managers on A similar project for large organisations are encouraged to apply. Lead Consultants in data governance or data change management who are looking to make the step up will also be considered.
The required candidate will have carried out project management or senior lead roles in a number of projects, ideally having worked in a project that involved a major new infrastructure delivery.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience of large scale data migrations, preferably mortgages but not essential. Manage the day to day delivery of the project through to Implementation and Benefit realisation, in conjunction with Senior Project Manager.
Management of the IT relationship and relationships with Third Party suppliers to ensure development is completed to the required specification, within timescales and to agreed budget Budget & benefit management.
The roles will involve working as a Project Manager responsible for ensuring that as Business Services / Print / Mail / Supply Chain remain poised to deliver the same quality service it currently does.
Accountable for the successful delivery of their projects and bids to agreed cost, time and quality parameters.
