To be responsible for the development and delivery of a cohesive and robust Training & Competence strategy for the Employed Sales Force and Direct Advice Line in our Banks and Building Societies Distribution (BBSD) that enables it to achieve compliance with FSA T&C requirements. To monitor and oversee T&C/sales activity to identify areas of risk and work with senior management to mitigate risks.
This role will require you to ensure the provision of quality, accurate and timely financial support, driving accountability for performance and championing return on investment. The role also acts as the link between the division/support functions and FP&A team to support financial planning, monitoring and reporting.

The overall objective of this position will be to take full profit and loss responsibility for the successful strategic and operational development of the business with a view to delivering significant growth in the value of the company.
Managing a small team, you will have global responsibility for all marketing activity. Reporting to the main board, your remit will include market and competitor analysis, new product development, brand development, marketing communications and pricing.
The successful candidate will develop and implement the long-term strategy to grow the business. This will involve working closely with the MD, taking responsibility for creating and driving through initiatives for new product development, new services, new potential niche markets, and prospective corporate acquisitions.

You will be an experienced and commercially-focused Business Development Manager who can demonstrate a successful (minimum 4 years) track record of selling software and solutions into highly competitive environments at an executive level.
The ideal candidate will come with a number of years of experience in C# .Net and Agile methodologies, with Test Driven Development (TDD) being the most applicable. Good database (SQL or Oracle ) and Web based (Javascript, ASP, HTML, CSS) skills are also required.
