The role will work closely with the business units to ensure a consistent, efficient approach is achieved with maximum reuse of applications and technology.

The role is within the Unix Systems Support team, which supports a large scale Unix Server infrastructure running a diverse range of business applications in our data centres. The team support AIX, Solaris and RedHat servers running on approximately 1200 servers, ranging from smaller VMs up to large Enterprise IBM and SUN machines.

Unix Systems Administrator - To support the Unix platforms by providing infrastructure solutions that enable the business applications hosted on Unix to meet their defined service levels. Support the processes, both technical and commercial, that enable the client to provide a service to its customers.
The IS Director will be a key member of the management Team, Primarily reporting to the Divisional MD with a dotted line to the Group CIO. The Role will involve the overall IS Management ensuring that the systems in place are fit for purpose and aligned with the business processes.
You will undertake ABS (Asset-Backed Securitisation) user acceptance testing for business projects which impact the ABS systems and data, periodic IT release cycles and ABS projects. This will involve analysing large volumes of data, reconciling cash flows, validating data, writing reports in SAP BW and validating the results.
Design business and system solution implementations to effectively answer problems and opportunities identified.
Leads the design, implementation, test and customer-site startup of complex control, information and automation systems working in a project team environment.
