As a PRINCIPAL GAS ENGINEER you will be working on a range of projects for both internal and external clients. Responsibilities include: leading a multi-disciplinary design team for major design.
Technical responsibility for highway and civil project delivery Project management of multi-disciplinary land development / regeneration projects Staff mentoring and line management responsibility Contract management and NEC Project Manager capabilities.
You will be responsible for ensuring designs meet H&S standards, liaise with Project Delivery Managers and Cost Managers on long term development plans and create programme to develop and track design activities.
· Monitor the progress of works and ensure that the development, design construction, testing and financial targets are met and effect remedial action where required. · Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of signalling design, installation and testing work in order that successful project implementation and future reliability is achieved.
You will manage your own projects from briefing stage to handover whilst providing the highest level of customer service.You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects in both the public and private sector.
You will be required to work autonomously within a growing team carrying out bridge feasibility works, design assessment and strengthening depending upon project requirements. You will also be required to manage projects.
