Chemical and Biological Engineering is a thriving department within the University's Faculty of Engineering, comprising 30 academic staff, 41 research staff and technicians, 6 support staff and over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Department has a vibrant research and teaching culture spanning particle science and technology / nanotechnology, new energy technologies, the environment and applications of post-genomics bioscience for biotechnology and bioprocessing applications.
The Faculty of Science is looking to further its world-leading research portfolio by appointing an outstanding scientist, at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, to conduct a vigorous research programme at the forefront of mass spectrometry and the challenging needs of chemical biology/biomedical science.

You will undertake world-leading research of the highest quality in one or more areas of materials modelling, local structure of materials, functional devices, environmental materials, materials for a sustainable future.
