A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 8b Psychology lead to work across the Barnet CAMHS Teams at Holly Oak Clinic, Edgware Community Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
* Lead development of psychological therapy pathways and interventions in community CAMHS.
* Manage appraisals and supervision arrangements for psychology staff.
* Lead the monthly Psychology Meeting.
* Deputise for the CAMHS Consultant Clinical Psychologist when needed.
Work independently within professional guidelines, ensuring governance of psychological practices, and contribute to research, policy, and service development.
This role is within the multidisciplinary CAMHS 0–18 service, providing assessments and interventions for families in Barnet.

Person specification
Training & Qualifications
* Postgraduate doctoral training in clinical or counselling psychology, accredited by the BPS, including models of psychopathology, psychometrics, neuropsychology, therapies, and lifespan development.
* Recognition as a clinical supervisor and registration with HCPC.
Experience
* Substantial experience as a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist in community CAMHS.
* Experience with a range of mental health problems and settings.
* Clinical responsibility for psychological care and treatment.
* Experience in supervision, assessment, and service development.
Knowledge and Skills
* Complex assessment and intervention skills, effective communication, research methodology knowledge, and understanding of legislation related to children and mental health.
Other
* Ability to support distressed children, families, and staff, and develop innovative service models.
