Job Title: Corporate Partnership Manager
Reporting to: Director of Partnerships and Fundraising
Salary: £29k to £32k (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent, part-time 30 hours
Base: Remote and Hybrid working available (home/our HQ in Malton, North Yorkshire).
Scope and Purpose of the role:
Encephalitis International is the only resource dedicated to supporting those affected by encephalitis (inflammation of the brain). This inflammation is usually caused by a person’s own immune system going wrong or by an infection (like the herpes simplex (cold sore) virus or more recently COVID‑19). There are approximately 1.5 million new cases of encephalitis each year.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the development and stewardship of existing and new corporate partners. This role will effectively market Encephalitis International’s support, awareness and research work to secure support from a broad range of partners. This role will share responsibility with the fundraising team in delivering fundraising targets to help deliver the charity’s vision.
Key Result Areas / Principal Duties and responsibilities
* Manage the development and delivery of corporate strategy to maximise income and relationships ensuring we achieve our strategic objectives.
* Manage existing relationships with corporate partners, acting as the bridge between the corporate organisation and Encephalitis International to encourage engagement with key campaigns, events and grow their financial support.
* Manage the identification and outreach to new corporate partners that align with Encephalitis International’s strategy and aims, building a strong prospect pipeline.
* Assist with the delivery of our sponsorship/fundraising contract deliverables such as social media posts and reports to ensure that our partners feel valued and part of team which is delivering life-saving work.
* Assist with the development of the commercial offering of Encephalitis International inclusive of our business club, new sponsorship opportunities and our position as a research partner, helping us to achieve our strategic goals.
Key Relationships – Internal & External
The Corporate Partnerships Manager’s external contacts include all corporate partners, and suppliers such as design and website developers. Internally the Corporate Partnerships Manager will work with all departments but in particular with the Fundraising and Communications teams.

Criteria Essential Qualifications and specific training
Experience
* Demonstrable experience working in any of; fundraising/sales/pharmaceutical/marketing sector.
* Demonstrable experience of meeting income targets.
* Demonstrable experience of presenting.
* Demonstrable experience of relationship management.
* Experience of producing data reports.
Knowledge
* Detailed understanding of relationship management.
* Understanding of the healthcare space.
* Understanding of the ABPI and broader pharmaceutical regulatory space – desirable.
* Understanding of CRM systems – we currently use Donorfy.
* Awareness of information governance requirements.
* Awareness of Gift Aid and other regulatory requirements.
Skills
* Highly developed communication skills.

* Developed skills in using CRM and software.
* Developed skills in using MS 365 programmes such as Excel.

Additional requirements
* This role is 30 hours per week, part-time.
* This role will be required to undertake unsocial hours, significant travel with overnight trips and possible weekends away from your base.
* This role will be required to complete a basic Disclosure and Barring check.
