About JTA Residential Care

We operate two children's homes in East London supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Both homes are rated GOOD by Ofsted, reflecting:

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

* Lead shifts and take full responsibility for the running of the home during your shift
* Model excellent safeguarding practice at all times
* Support and mentor Residential Support Workers
* Oversee care planning and contribute to risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
* Ensure documentation is accurate, reflective and inspection-ready
* Complete medication administration and audits in line with regulations
* Manage petty cash and ensure financial accountability
* Complete health & safety checks and regulatory compliance tasks
* Drive company vehicles to transport young people safely
* Liaise professionally with social workers, families and external professionals
* Maintain a calm, structured and therapeutic environment

We operate waking night shifts — alertness and professionalism are essential.

Essential Requirements

UK experience within a children's residential setting is required

Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care

Experience leading shifts in a regulated home

Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015

Confident managing challenging behaviour

High standard of written documentation

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Essential)

Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma (Desirable)

Full UK driving licence

Right to work in the UK
