Operations and Engagement Manager, Energy Policy Research Group (Part time, Fixed Term)
Are you ready to take on an exciting role at the forefront of energy and climate policy research? The Energy Policy Research Group (EPRG), based at Cambridge Judge Business School, is seeking a proactive and skilled Operations and Engagement Manager to join our team.
EPRG is an internationally recognised leader in energy and climate policy research. Our mission is to inform public and private‑sector decision‑making in the transition to a sustainable and secure energy future. Supported by UK Research Councils, the European Commission, philanthropic foundations, and industry stakeholders, we deliver impactful research and foster collaboration through our Energy Policy Forum. As part of the University of Cambridge’s Cambridge Zero and Energy IRC initiatives, we are at the cutting edge of addressing global energy challenges.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high‑profile events such as bi‑annual conferences.
* Manage the Centre’s budget.
* Build strategic relationships across the University and beyond.
* Develop and implement the communications strategy to ensure EPRG’s work reaches key audiences and stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* Experience managing the operations of a research centre or business unit.
* Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Experience developing effective communications.
* Background in higher education or the not‑for‑profit sector (desirable).
* Degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
* Analytical mindset, creativity, and passion for fostering research impact and community building.
Part‑time position of 29.6 hours per week. The successful candidate is expected to be in the office 75% of the time. Flexible working arrangements are available to support work‑life balance. While this is a permanent role, funding has been initially approved for one year.
