Job Overview
Sales Manager / Head of Sales role for a £60m turnover business operating across utilities, civil engineering, construction, waste‑to‑energy, and renewable energy sectors. Responsibilities include key account management, team coaching/mentoring, diversification strategy, and delivering service excellence.
Responsibilities
* Manage a small committed sales team.
* Drive key account management and strategic diversification.
* Coach and mentor team to deliver service excellence.
* Leverage environmental legislation changes to drive sales growth.
* Work in a hybrid model (office 1–2 days per week, remote otherwise) within 50 miles of Doncaster.
Qualifications / Desired Background
* Experience in technical sales across industrial, engineering, steel, construction, civil engineering, chemicals, waste‑to‑energy, water, mining, quarry, etc.
* Strong coach/mentor skills and ability to shape the role.
* Experience with tendering or complex sales processes.
* Flexible on location but within 50 miles of Doncaster (commutable from Sheffield, Leeds, York, Hull, Goole, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Scunthorpe, Gainsborough, Lincoln, Grimsby).
