Overview
Lead Biomedical Scientist Haematology (Leighton and Macclesfield) – Lead BMS Haematology for the Leighton and Macclesfield hospital sites, collaborating with the team at Royal Stoke University Hospital (RSUH) to deliver the North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS) network model. Applications are sought from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with Haematology experience.
Based at either Leighton or Macclesfield Hospital, the role requires work across both sites and periodic work at RSUH. The post demands strong leadership, effective management of a complex workload, and ensuring quality improvement to maintain UKAS accreditation and overall service performance. The Lead BMS will oversee training, health and safety, quality management, and financial monitoring, and will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders from clinical teams to suppliers. You will maintain up-to-date scientific and technical expertise as a BMS.
