We are looking for an ambitious pharmacy leader to become the Director of Pharmacy for NHS Golden Jubilee. You will be a driven and committed pharmacist, keen to lead and develop our team, providing safe pharmaceutical care for our patients, while growing the role of the pharmacy profession.
Our hospital is unique, serving patients from all over Scotland, with regional and national heart and lung services, including cardiac transplantation and a large critical care unit; one of the largest elective orthopaedic services in Europe; a growing general surgery and endoscopy team; a large cataract surgery service; and extensive diagnostics. The pharmacy team plays a crucial role in the safe and effective delivery of care across all settings, as core members of the clinical team. The organisation also includes an active Research Institute and a Hotel and Conference Centre.
The position offers substantial opportunities for a motivated pharmacy leader to expand their impact across NHS Scotland within the NHS GJ portfolio, including:
* NHS Scotland Academy, a partnership between NHS GJ and NHS Education for Scotland, providing accelerated training for NHS staff in key areas.
* University Hospital status with the Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow, offering opportunities in teaching and research.
* The Centre for Sustainable Delivery, a Scottish Government initiative aimed at driving improvement and innovation in the NHS, providing opportunities to lead change.
