About the role:
As a Residential Childcare Worker you'll play a vital role in delivering daily care, emotional support, and meaningful interactions that help each young person grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. Working within the home's Therapeutic Model, you'll collaborate closely with our in-house therapeutic practitioners to ensure every young person receives the consistent, personalised support they need to make lasting, positive changes in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children and young people with a range of learning disabilities in their everyday routines
* Promote independence and encourage participation in household and community activities
* Help manage personal care needs where required, with dignity and respect
* Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support
* Follow individual care plans and contribute to their development
* Work effectively as part of a consistent and professional care team, including undertaking sleep-in, shift/rota work (including weekends)
* Maintain detailed and accurate records
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children, young people or adults with learning disabilities
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
* Empathetic, patient, and positive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A calm and proactive approach to challenges
* Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
