Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals within the community in Weymouth, Dorset. This role involves delivering personalised care that promotes independence, dignity, and overall well-being within clients’ own homes.
A typical shift will begin at the office, where staff will collect a company pool car before travelling between client visits. Duties will include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship, and assisting clients with their daily routines.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, professional, flexible with shifts, and passionate about making a genuine difference in people’s lives. Candidates must have previous care experience and hold a valid UK driving licence, as driving is an essential part of the role.
Full induction, training, uniforms, and access to a company vehicle during shifts will be provided to ensure staff are fully supported and prepared.
Duties
* Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
* Provide high-quality personal care while maintaining dignity and respect
* Support with medication administration and accurate record keeping in line with care plans
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
* Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship
* Offer emotional support to promote mental well-being and independence
* Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Travel between client visits using a company pool car
* Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow care procedures
* Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
* Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments where required
Experience & Requirements
* Previous care experience within a healthcare or community care setting is essential
* Full UK driving licence – essential
* Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or home care environments is desirable
* Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care
* Experience with medication administration and basic first aid procedures
* Mandatory Training Certificate required
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* Physically able to support clients with mobility and manual handling tasks where required
