4 and 5 Axis Machining Centre Setter/Operator – Nights and Weekend Nights
Pay Range:£16.45 – £19.71 + Benefits.
Band 4:6:£32,077 to £38,444 fully depending on experience.
The Company: Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions is the preferred supplier to Mazak.
Job Description
* Setting and operating 4‑ and 5‑axis machining centres.
* Producing a wide and varied range of highly tolerant parts used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
* Understanding Mazak CNC controls and offering improvement ideas.
* Working within a team of fellow engineers under strict health and safety guidelines.
* Promoting a positive culture through engagement in H&S improvements and kaizen initiatives.
Essential Criteria
* Understanding of milling/machining centre machines.
* Experience safely setting and operating automated CNC loaded machine tools.
* Experience with cutting tools, fixtures and measuring equipment.
* A can‑do attitude.
* Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.
Desirable Criteria
* Ability to edit and alter CNC programs.
* Completion of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.

Working Hours
Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am (nights)
Friday to Sunday: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am (weekend nights)
Overtime pay: Time‑and‑a‑half for the first 2 hours, then double time thereafter. Saturday at 1.5×, Sunday at 2×.
