On-Site Infrastructure Engineer

The Role
As the on-site "hands and eyes" for IT, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting network, server, and site infrastructure, while playing a key role in project delivery and service improvement. You'll work across data centre operations, infrastructure support, and stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on support across network, server, and infrastructure environments
* Carry out IMAC activities (installs, moves, adds, changes)
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Perform physical infrastructure tasks (racking, cabling, patching)
* Manage server rooms and comms environments
* Support network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/voice)
* Handle incidents, requests, and changes via ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
* Coordinate with vendors and manage repairs/logistics
* Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations
* Ensure compliance with security, safety, and IT standards
What We're Looking For
* 3-5 years' experience in Network / Infrastructure Engineering
* Strong hands-on IT infrastructure and troubleshooting experience
* Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and virtualization
* Experience with networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
* Familiarity with modern networking concepts (TCP/IP, SD-WAN, Zero Trust)
* Experience with servers, storage (NetApp/Dell EMC), and end-user devices
* Comfortable working with physical infrastructure (cabling, racking, hardware handling)
* CCNA (preferred but not essential)

* Comfortable working independently and within global teams
* Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Additional Requirements
* Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
* Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
* Participation in an on-call rota
