We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our PSV garage in Bolton. This is a non‑hands‑on, office‑based position, offering an excellent salary of £45,000 and the opportunity to take a leading role in the day‑to‑day running of a busy commercial workshop.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all workshop operations from an office‑based role
* Oversee job planning, scheduling, and technician allocation
* Monitor workshop efficiency, job turnaround times, and quality standards
* Liaise with engineers, operations teams, and management to ensure vehicle availability
* Ensure compliance with DVSA regulations, service documentation, and maintenance schedules
* Conduct performance reviews and support staff development
* Handle parts ordering, warranty claims, and supplier coordination as needed
Requirements
* Previous experience in a PSV, HGV, or commercial vehicle workshop environment
* Strong understanding of maintenance planning, vehicle compliance, and workshop KPIs
* Experience in a supervisory, foreman, or workshop controller role
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Good working knowledge of industry software systems (e.g., R2C, AssetWorks, etc.) is advantageous
* Relevant technical qualifications are beneficial but not essential for this office‑based role
