Creative Support is looking for a Senior Support Worker, supporting service users who have enduring mental health diagnoses to join our service in the Stalybridge area and provides a service for adults of all genders. You will be based within a supported accommodation and work alongside the management team to ensure a high quality of service for the people we support. You will also work alongside the wider Tameside Mental Health senior team which might include occasional work at other nearby services. You will work directly alongside individuals with trauma informed, recovery-focused approaches and values, enabling people to enjoy a fulfilling and valued lives, to participate in the community and to develop their abilities. You will contribute to the development of tenancy related housing skills and positive tenancy management. You will be expected to co-produce support plans with the service users that promote their choices and independence, paying particular attention to areas such as daily living skills, community outreach, and housing goals. You are likely to engage in a wide range of tasks and activities as part of your role. You must be willing to travel within the South Manchester area in order to provide support to our service users in their own accommodations. Experience of supervising others is desirable; support can be tailored during probation to develop as a supervisor of others.
