Overview
Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of NHS Outpatient Services, renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist care, leading to high quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in community settings.
This role is for experienced Theatre Nurses to support the delivery of surgical procedures across a range of specialties including ENT, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology and Gynaecology. Salary is £17.00 per hour (£34,000 per annum WTE). The postholder(s) will be committed to upholding CARE values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
This job is suitable for individuals with a passion for working in an agile manner to provide a high-quality service. The postholder(s) will undertake other duties commensurate with the role within the bounds of their competence.

Main duties
You will work in multiple sites operating theatres and anaesthetic/recovery areas. You may also be involved with procedures on wards, clinics or in other specialist areas. You will be part of a large team that includes surgeons, anaesthetists, operating department practitioners (ODPs) and theatre support workers.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential
* Qualified Adult Nurse/RGN with up-to-date NMC registration
* Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a similar environment
* Able to demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with the post
* Able to work under own initiative within boundaries of the role and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Ability to document observations, results and actions in patient notes and to communicate effectively
* Ability to educate learners and less experienced staff; ability to escalate concerns to reduce risk and promote patient safety
* Computer literate and able to drive
