What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Manage, coach, and develop your team of Drivers to ensure optimum performance, compliance and efficiency
* Ensure effective compliance and best practise with maintaining GXO’s Operator Licence, and drive improvements in transport audits
* Support the team to meet operational objectives such as service provision, productivity, and compliance KPIs, along with the importance of safety behaviours/culture
* Be the focal point for all Drivers and Customer Service-related queries and to resolve all issues
* Deliver and support ongoing continuous improvement projects, deliver customer centric results and identify efficiencies
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced transport team, preferably with exposure to temperature-controlled deliveries, transport compliance and Working Time Directive (Desirable)
The ability to effectively communicate in both a written and verbal capacity whilst building relationships with customers. IT literate (including Microsoft packages and TMS systems)
* Cost focused experience, with budget responsibility (Open book experience beneficial)
* Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers & other internal departments
* Proven inclusive leadership experience of a diverse team, supporting in development, and celebrating success, whilst continuing to strive for success
