Teaching Personnel is partnering with a wonderful specialist school in the New Forest, and we are looking for caring, reliable Learning Support Assistants to join their team. If you’ve previously supported children or young adults with additional needs — whether in a school, medical environment, residential care, or a similar setting — your experience could be a perfect fit. The school ideally needs someone who can work Monday to Friday, though 4-day availability can also be considered. You will start via our agency, but if you settle in well and build strong relationships, the school is open to offering a contract after a probationary period. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils with communication differences, sensory needs, developmental delays, or social/emotional challenges Helping students engage with learning through tailored activities and structured routines Encouraging independence, confidence, and social skills Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils Assisting with personal care, emotional regulation, and therapeutic interventions Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff About the School This school specialises in supporting children whose additional needs impact their access to learning.
