Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary Overtime | Company Vehicle Provided About the Role Tecnik Services, part of Peritum Group, is expanding rapidly and we’re looking for an experienced, motivated Groundworks Operative to join our nationwide installation team. You’ll play a hands-on role delivering high-quality civil works that support the installation of in-ground workshop equipment — from brake tester tubs to full vehicle inspection pits. This is a practical, varied role where no two days or sites are the same. You’ll travel across the UK, work alongside skilled colleagues, and contribute to installations that make a real impact in commercial workshops nationwide. To support you on the road, we’ll provide a company vehicle, fuel card, accommodation, and subsistence. What You’ll Be Doing You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality groundworks and installation projects across the UK, including: Excavating trenches and preparing bases for in-ground equipment Installing framework, shuttering, and underground ducting Pouring, laying, and finishing concrete to a high standard Supporting commissioning engineers during equipment installation Ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and in line with project plans Working collaboratively with team members to deliver efficient site operations Representing the company professionally on-site with customers and contractors This role involves regular nationwide travel and overnight stays, fully arranged and covered by the business. We’d like you to have: Solid understanding of construction or groundworks processes A strong commitment to health and safety Good teamwork skills and the ability to support others Effective communication and customer-facing professionalism Strong self-management, reliability, and problem-solving ability A full UK driving licence (essential) Desirable (but not essential): Experience or certification operating 360 excavators or forward-facing dumpers (Training and certification can be provided for the right candidate.)
