Are you a Transport Planning Consultant from a civil background looking to achieve chartership within a close-knit, high-performing team, where you'll take ownership of major development projects and receive structured support to reach the next stage of your career?
This UK-based civil engineering consultancy, established in 1986, delivers transport planning, infrastructure design, and environmental engineering services across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. With decades of expertise and a strong reputation for planning-led solutions, they are trusted by developers, local authorities, architects, and multidisciplinary teams nationwide.
In this role, you will support transport planning projects, producing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Technical Notes, and Travel Plans for a range of development schemes. You'll analyse traffic, speed, and parking data, calculate visibility splays, produce drawings using AutoCAD and AutoTRACK, review site layouts, provide highways advice, coordinate surveys, and support planning strategies. You'll attend design meetings, liaise with clients and local authorities, and deliver clear, accurate reports. Based in Bristol, this is a 37.5‑hour week role.
Responsibilities
* Producing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Technical Notes, and Travel Plans
* Analysing traffic, speed, parking, and survey data
* Calculating visibility splays and producing CAD drawings using AutoCAD and AutoTRACK
* Reviewing site layouts and providing highways/transport advice
* Attending design meetings and coordinating with clients and local authorities
Qualifications
* Degree in Geography, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoTRACK
* Experience in transport planning projects and drafting technical reports
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team of seven
* Commutable to Bristol
