TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is exclusively recruiting for a Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager to join a highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone.
This successful and growing practice supports a diverse client base across a wide range of industries, delivering services including accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and management accounts, alongside more specialist advisory work.
As a Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager, you will take on a varied and hands‑on role, managing your own portfolio while supporting and developing the wider team. You will play a key part in both compliance and advisory work, with the opportunity to add real value to your clients.
Key responsibilities
* Managing a varied portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients
* Reviewing statutory accounts and tax work prepared by junior staff
* Remaining hands‑on across accounts and tax where required
* Acting as the main point of contact for your clients
* Identifying advisory opportunities and supporting client growth
* Mentoring, supervising and developing junior team members
* Contributing to business development and gradually building your own fee base

Requirements
* You will have a career background in accountancy practice preparing a mix of accounts, tax, management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT services for a variation of clients to include limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
* You will have at least 3‑5 years’ experience, or more ideally gained within accountancy practice and be looking to further your career.
* You will be ACCA/ACA qualified or have developed your career through experience only.
Salary and benefits
* £45,000 – £55,000 FTE dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
