Therapist (Children & Young People – SEND / SEMH Settings)
Location: Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester
Salary: £37,600 – £45,400 (inclusive of school holidays)
Employment: Full-time | Permanent
Make a meaningful difference every day We are working with a leading specialist education provider to recruit a Therapist.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service from the ground up, supporting children and young people aged 6–16 with a range of needs including:
* Autism
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Developmental trauma and neurodivergent profiles
The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, you will support both educational and residential teams in creating therapeutic learning environments. You will:
* Undertake clinical assessments and formulate individualised care plans
* Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to each young person
* Support colleagues in creating consistent, therapeutic approaches across the setting
* Monitor progress and provide feedback on outcomes
* Build strong, trusting relationships with young people and their families
About You
We are looking for a qualified therapist with experience working with children and young people. You will have:
* Eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic approaches
* Experience working with autism, SEMH and/or complex needs
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and empathetic approach
