Salary: £29,834 to £32,529 per annum

The Opportunity
Barnsley College has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated Employer Engagement Officer to join our Employer Engagement team This role is perfect for an ambitious individual who thrives in a sales driven environment and enjoys building strong relationships with employers across SME Corporate and Public Sector organisations
As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in generating sales leads securing new business and supporting employers through high quality advice and tailored training solutions You will work collaboratively with internal teams to promote apprenticeships bespoke training programmes and wider commercial services ensuring our offer continues to meet employer needs and supports the Colleges income targets
You will be instrumental in managing and growing apprenticeship cohorts particularly within digital apprenticeship provision and will support employers to maximise training opportunities for their workforce This is a dynamic role involving telemarketing employer meetings networking events presentations and cross department collaboration

About You
You will be confident working in a fast-paced sales focused environment and comfortable engaging with employers at all levels You will bring excellent communication skills strong customer service experience and the ability to build positive productive relationships that generate repeat business
You should be self-motivated, persuasive and able to spot opportunities for growth while also being organised and capable of managing your own caseload effectively. You will be confident using ICT systems able to analyse information and produce clear reports and have the resilience and drive needed to meet targets and deadlines
A positive professional and proactive approach is essential along with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments to support the Colleges wider employer engagement activity.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
•Relevant Level 3 qualification or relevant industry experience
•GCSE Maths and English Level 2 (or equivalent)
•At least 2 years work experience in an environment where there is direct contact with employers in a sales environment
