As part of the CHCP CIC Urgent Care Strategy and our ongoing commitment to providing an enhanced and quality Unscheduled/Out of Hours care service, we are recruiting Out of Hours Doctors to join the multidisciplinary team delivering these services. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a fully qualified and experienced General Practitioner working within a multidisciplinary team to provide out-of-hours services that meet the urgent healthcare needs of residents in the Hull and East Riding area. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of clinical care, conducting clinical assessments, including telephone triage, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals, using advanced skills and knowledge for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions. Candidates must have full GMC registration, a professional medical qualification, a Certificate of Prescribed or equivalent experience (JCTGP), and/or a Certificate of Completion of Training, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Medical indemnity will be provided for all contracted bank staff (excluding Provider to Provider contracts).

Job responsibilities
* Support the development of the Out of Hours Service with medical input.
* Contribute to best practice development and dissemination.
* Collaborate with emergency and community services including Emergency Care Practitioners, 999 services, A&E, District Nurses, Palliative Care/MacMillan Nurses, Intermediate Care, Community Wards, Social Services, and Mental Health Services.
* Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
* Undertake telephone triage, conduct consultations within the primary care centre, and perform home visits.
* Assess patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
* Ensure accurate documentation of consultations and treatments, and communicate effectively with patients.
* Promote joint working across secondary, primary, community, and emergency services.
* Participate in active service audits in collaboration with the Clinical Advisor.
* Work flexibly across the Hull and East Riding area to provide clinical support.
* Provide clinical cover for other Primary Care Centres as required.
* Adhere to CHCP Clinical Governance Standards and policies.
* Attend relevant meetings and participate in annual appraisals.
* Support NHS Complaints Procedures when necessary.
* Handle professional disciplinary matters through GMC as appropriate.
* Provide leadership and support to less experienced staff.
* Take on shift lead roles when needed.

Salary ranges from £85.20 to £131.64 per hour, depending on the shift worked.
