About the Role
The UK Central Programme Management Office at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a Project Officer to support the delivery of regeneration, housing and infrastructure projects across North Solihull. The successful candidate will work within the Council’s Growth and Development Investment Programme, focusing on regeneration projects and ensuring they are delivered to scope, quality, budget and time requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, plan, manage and deliver key work packages and defined projects within the UK Central Programme.
* Ensure projects are delivered to the required scope and quality, within budget and on time.
* Contribute to the development, planning and management of regeneration projects in North Solihull.
* Prepare and present performance and management information, including financial management and project compliance.
* Engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, or demonstrated knowledge through extended experience or training in project management.
* Experience in project planning, risk and issue management and contract/consultant management.
* Experience in analysis, reporting and presentation of performance and management information.
* Experience of financial management to ensure project compliance, including identifying and contributing to bids for funding.
* Ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex/technical information effectively.
Employment Details
Full‑time position; part‑time or job‑share working arrangements will be considered.
