Overview
We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead our Adult Social Care and Therapy Team within Adult Social Care Point, Newcastle’s new multi-disciplinary front door to adult social care.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Falls Prevention Coordinator, Moving & Handling Coordinator, and social care colleagues delivering rapid, person-centred interventions.
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary hub alongside Adult Social Care Point social work managers to promote independence and reduce reliance on long-term care.
* Support the delivery and evaluation of innovative ideas to improve access to therapy and prevent hospital admissions.
* Champion strengths-based practice and preventative approaches across the service.
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and professional development for your team.
About You
* You’ll be a qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and a strong background in adult social care.
* Proven leadership and team management experience.
* A passion for early intervention and enabling independence.
* Strong partnership working skills across health, social care, and voluntary sectors.
* A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
