Job Description
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC professional with a background in welding, fabrication, and industrial projects, primarily focused on oil and gas measurement projects, but with opportunities across the DASS business unit.
* Manage document control for welding operations, including establishing and maintaining a document database (DocMan).
* Review and advise on vendor’s WPS in accordance with customer and technical requirements.
* Review and assist with 3rd party NDT inspections and operations.
* Act as a key contact for class and certification bodies (e.g., DNV) and customers regarding welding and fabrication.
* Visit vendor locations, including overseas projects, for QA audits, inspections, and assistance to ensure compliance with relevant standards (BS/ISO/API/PED).
* Provide technical guidance and support on welding and fabrication QA to project engineering and operations teams.
* Ensure all consumables and equipment used in welding and fabrication are certified, calibrated, maintained, and properly documented.
* Develop and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications related to fabrication, welding, coating, and PED/PER jobs.
* Review customer requirements to ensure compliance and participate in setting quality standards.
* Define and oversee quality procedures in collaboration with staff and inspectors.
* Maintain overall responsibility for welding and fabrication quality assurance within the business.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication best practices, BS/ISO/API standards.
* Experience with ISO 9001 management systems.
* Familiarity with the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of EN1090, PED/PER, ATEX/IECEx, and CE Marking is advantageous.
* Fluent professional/technical English skills.
