Overview
Hysteroscopy Nurse Specialist - Band 7 - 37.5 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Nurse Hysteroscopist to join our team in our Gynaecology Outpatient department on a 12 month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful post holder will be qualified to practice as an independent nurse hysteroscopist in accordance with the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopists (BSGE) and will work closely with the service lead and wider gynaecology team to ensure delivery of high quality accessible care for women requiring hysteroscopic examination.
Responsibilities
* Work independently as an expert practitioner with your own caseload of patients and perform diagnostic hysteroscopy procedures using a critical decision making process to determine case management and perform treatment procedures.
* Act as an autonomous practitioner performing diagnostic hysteroscopy procedures and contribute to development of clinical guidelines for all aspects of clinical practice within the clinical specialty, in conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff.
Qualifications
* Post-registration qualification in specialty.
* Nationally recognised British Society of Gynaecology Endoscopy (BSGE) Nurse Hysteroscopy Course.
* At least one year of experience.
Location and Team
Based at Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, you will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside our current nurse specialists.
Clinical Practice
The nurse will act as an autonomous practitioner performing diagnostic hysteroscopy procedures, using a critical decision making process to determine case management and perform treatment procedures. In conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff, the Nurse will contribute to the development of clinical guidelines for all aspects of clinical practice within the clinical specialty.
