and What You'll Be Doing
We have got a fantastic opportunity for a Medico Legal Records (MLR) Nurse to join our MLR team. We are recruiting for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
The main responsibilities will include:
1. Sort, index, pagination of digital medical records for Personal Injury clients.
2. Preparation of a medical chronology and radiology schedule.
3. Identification of crucial missing records.
4. Interpret abbreviations, handwriting and medical terminology where required.
5. 35 hours per week (with the ability to work these flexibly and from home).
About You
6. As this is a senior (clinical) administrative role, a minimum of 10 years clinical experience is required.
7. Band 6 minimum in a clinical position.
8. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in Nursing or Midwifery.
9. If education or experience is particularly specialised, must be able to demonstrate versatility in other clinical areas.
10. Excellent IT literacy – previous use of Microsoft programmes and Adobe necessary.
11. Flexible to changes in procedure and IT.
12. An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality.
13. Experience in a similar role.
Desirable
14. Clinical experience in the following areas – Theatre, Critical Care, Orthopaedics, Tissue Viability, Diabetes, Practice Nursing/Community Nursing.
15. Able to work as part of a team.
16. Confidential and professional manner.
17. High standards of personal presentation.
18. Excellent communication skills.
19. Work on own initiative.
20. Able comfortably to liaise with range of people.
21. Excellent attendance record.
22. Ability to cope under pressure.
