We are looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop to join our busy DAF HGV main dealership. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop and service desk, ensuring exceptional service for our customers and maximum efficiency across the department.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Service Manager in overseeing the workshop, technicians, and service advisors within a high-volume DAF dealership.
* Ensure all HGV service, maintenance, and repair work is scheduled effectively to maximise workshop productivity.
* Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing clear communication and excellent service throughout the repair process.
* Assist with warranty procedures, job card accuracy, invoicing, and manufacturer compliance.
* Manage daily workflow, allocate jobs, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
* Handle escalated customer issues professionally, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
* Support and motivate the service team, encouraging a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Maintain high standards of DAF brand representation and ensure all processes follow manufacturer and dealership guidelines.
What we are looking for
* Previous experience in a commercial vehicle or HGV dealership service environment (DAF experience highly advantageous).
* Strong working knowledge of HGV repair processes, workshop operations, and service administration.
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and support a multi-disciplinary team.
* Proficiency with DAF Check, RMI platforms, Kerridge (desirable).
* Ability to problem solve and maintain professionalism under pressure.
