Workplace: Manchester with paid travel when required to various locations within the UK.
The P&C Advisor is the first point of contact for our stores within the UK and will act as a trusted partner to local retail leadership teams. You will provide hands‑on support and guidance in all People & Culture related matters within operational questions, ensuring that policies, processes, and initiatives are implemented consistently and tailored to UK employment law.
This role is based in Manchester, working closely with the People & Culture team to deliver and execute people tasks for our retail stores in the UK & Ireland. Travel will be expected as required to build strong relationships with Area and Store Managers and to support new store openings and recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for Country, Area & Store Managers on P&C related matters.
* Serve as local super‑user and provide first‑line support in Same System & Emply.
* Deliver hands‑on P&C support and expert advice on employee relations, performance management and compliance issues.
* Support Christmas recruitment during peak trading periods, working closely with store managers to ensure teams are fully staffed.
* Support all stages of the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal People & Culture procedures, including preparing accurate documentation and process‑related paperwork.
* Ensure consistent implementation of P&C policies and procedures across all stores.
* Monitor and report P&C metrics (e.g., turnover, absence rates).
About You

Experience
* Demonstrated experience as a P&C Advisor or similar HR generalist role within the retail sector.
* Experience in candidate screening and managing high‑volume recruitment across multiple roles concurrently.
* Proven ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
Knowledge
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ability to apply it confidently in complex situations.
* Knowledge and understanding of Trade Unions and TUPE processes.
