Our client is an education-based organisation inManchester is looking for a self-starter and driven Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their team.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for;
1. Work with various stakeholders with all financial planning, budget and forecast processes and consolidating results for their areas, meeting with budget holders as appropriate.
2. Prepare and review the monthly management accounts, provide insightful management information and financial analysis and deliver to tight deadlines
3. Assisting in the preparation of the costing and financial aspects of business plans for new and current developments and activities
4. Seek opportunities to continuously improve procedures as necessary to adequately support the business activities
5. Produce monthly and other ad hoc financial reports and ensure that these are distributed to the relevant Budget Holder and that appropriate action is taken where necessary
6. Responsible for ensuring that financial reconciliations are undertaken on a timely basis, as required
7. Oversee preparation and inputting of journals
What you'll need to succeed
You will have:
Working towards a recognised professional accounting qualification ( CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
Experience of working within finance in a large, complex organisation demonstrating ability to work collaboratively and proactively across organisational boundaries
A high level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other financial software
An ability to work independently and as part of a team
An ability tomunicate effectively with various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
What you'll get in return
