Overview
Ward Clerk positions at Glan Clwyd Hospital. To work as a member of a team providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical support service for the Ward thereby supporting the delivery of high quality service to patients and staff within the Department. This is a great opportunity to work in and part of the NHS and support your communities with their Health Care. There are two ward clerk positions available. Please state on your application which position you are applying for. 1 x 22.5 Hours Monday, Wednesday & Friday 07.30 – 15.30; 1 x 22.5 hours Wednesday – Friday 07.30 – 15.30.
Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, relatives and visitors to the Ward and must demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Work as part of the Ward Team to provide efficient clerical support to the nursing staff on the Ward.
Requirements
Essential
* Maths/English GCSE or equivalent
* Sufficient previous clerical/office/reception/ward duties
* Working with the public; working in a busy environment
* Good communication skills
* IT skills
* Welsh speaking – minimum level 3 required
* Welsh Speaker (level 3 and above) noted as essential in the role
Desirable
* NVQ 2 in Administration; NVQ in Customer Service; ECDL
* Previous experience working within the health care sector
* General experience of administration functions
* WPAS case note tracking; WCP RADIS; understanding of maintaining medical records
* Knowledge of data protection and patient confidentiality
Experience
