What you’ll do
* Teach, assess, and support learners across Levels 2-3 in mechanical engineering disciplines
* Deliver both practical and theoretical sessions in areas such as CNC programming, milling and turning, 3D printing, and CAD
* Support learners in developing their technical understanding, employability, and problem‑solving skills
* Contribute to curriculum planning and course development to meet employer and industry needs
* Provide excellent support, guidance, and feedback to help learners achieve their full potential
* Embed core themes such as health and safety, equality, and British values within your teaching
* Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and assessment
* Engage with employers to support apprenticeships and work‑based learning opportunities
What we’re looking for
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one within an agreed timeframe, that we will provide the opportunity for)
* Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths, and ICT (or willingness to achieve within timeframe)
* In‑depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, turning, milling, advance turning, engineering drawing, CAD and maintenance & assemblies, CAD/CAM, and CNC programming
* Experience teaching or mentoring others
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A flexible, collaborative, and proactive approach to teaching and learning
