A globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business with a strong presence in Peterborough has asked Hays to help us hire 2 Customer Order Management Representatives to support a new project. Known for its structured processes and customer-focused approach, this organisation offers excellent exposure toplex supply chain and customer operations within a high-performance environment.
Your new role
You’ll act as the key point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing the full order life cycle from order entry through to delivery. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role where you’ll coordinate with internal teams, resolve queries and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time. You’ll also handle escalations, maintain system records and provide consistent customermunication throughout. This is a fully on-site role initially, moving to hybrid once established.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you must be available to start within 2–3 weeks and have proven experience managing customer orders within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strongmunication skills are essential, alongside previous experience working with order processing systems such as ERP or MRP. You’ll be organised, proactive and confident, handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently. Experience managing the full order life cycle and working cross-functionally will be key.
What you'll get in return
You’ll receive apetitive hourly rate equivalent to £30,960 per annum, with the opportunity to gain experience within a global engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract role with a potential extension and hybrid working longer term.
